Engine Re-manufacturing. Cylinder
Heads. | All components are
chemically cleaned and inspected. Each head is
pressure tested and valve guides are changed where required. Valves
and seats are individually re-cut and vac tested to ensure correct seating has been achieved. All cylinder heads are surface ground and given a final inspection prior to been re-assembled.
Valve clearances are set where applicable. | | Short Engine. | All components are chemically cleaned and inspected. Cylinder blocks are pressure tested if required. Cylinders are re-bored and honed to give the correct size and finish. The block face is surface ground level. Crankshafts are re-ground and balanced also if required. Using new components the pistons are fitted to the rods and then the short engine is assembled. | | Half Engine. | The same as a short engine but also includes an oil pump, pick-up pipe & a sump to seal
the bottom of the block assembly. | | Full Engine. | Cylinder head along
with the half engine are bolted together. The rocker cover is fitted to seal the top of the engine and timing belts/chain
kits are added to complete the re-build. | | Turbos. | Fully re-manufactured
turbo units. All rotating parts are renewed, cleaned
and re-assembled within the manufacturers’ tolerances. | | Gearboxes. | All
components are chemically cleaned and inspected. Warn
parts are replaced where required. The gearbox is
then re-assembled to manufacturers’ tolerances using all new bearings/seals etc. | Competition Engines.
Fast Road. | All engines
are built to the full engine specifications listed above. Modifications
can be anything from a mild performance cam change to a top of the range complete engine using the highest quality
parts. | Oval Racing. | We
have been involved in building top specification oval racing engines for many years. Many examples of these
engines are in short circuit formulas including the 2ltr Pinto engine which is used in a wide variety of formulas i.e. BriSCA
Formula 2 Stock Cars, Classic Hot Rods, Lightning Rods & Saloon Stock Cars. We also provide engines for
Autograss Competitors. These engines range from a 1000cc A-series Class 1 Mini to a V8 Class 10 Special. All engines are built to each customers individual formula rule requirements. | Circuit & Rallying. | We build a wide variety of engines designed specifically for
Circuit racing & Rallying depending on the customers’ requirements. These include:- Fords, Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru Impreza & Vauxhall 2ltr 16-valve. |
